Buckskin Beauty - oil painting by Debbie Grayson Lincoln

11 X 14 Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

I have frequently expressed how grateful I am to be living in an area of Texas chock full of gorgeous horses. I find amazing models everywhere I turn, and I have always had a special admiration of buckskins. Marshal Dillon rode one and so did Ben Cartwright - two admirable TV Cowboys of my youth.
The inspiration of this painting, Smoky, was bred and owned by Kelly Crawford, a long time friend and fellow horse and cow lover. Kelly and her husband, Steven, also lead elk hunts into New Mexico using horses they have bred and trained. Accompanying them on a hunt is on my very long bucket list...
Psalm 71:17  "Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds!"
