When working calves, there are a number of jobs, and the "best" one is probably that of the roper. MOST of the remaining jobs are on foot. Cowboys are usually generous in sharing the chores and switching out a roping job with a "gate" job or a branding job. I have also seen them share a good horse with one another and even let a new guy get his chance to rope and stay above the dust. But at any given time, some of them HAVE to be on foot to make the job go smoothly, and I have rarely seen any complain about it, knowing that their turn to ride will come in good time...
Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
