Bad Hair Day

This is another painting one of my blue-eyed neighbors. This mare is actually a paint - from a distance she is solid white, though. Up close you can see some pigmented spots under the white fur - and both her eyes are Paul Newman blue. She has a spectacular mane and tail, too - lush and thick that flows in the wind quite elegantly. I'll bet she looks pretty flashy under saddle.

Viewing Heaven From a White Horse

This mare lives in a pasture down the road from me and from a distance she appears all white, when in reality she is a paint and has a bit of pigment in her skin, but not much. She is blued-eyed as well and therefor she sunburns easily just like us blue eyed people do! I like photographing her because the shadows contrast so nicely on a sunny day.
