#42 Cow Color Study 1

I am going to paint this cow a number of different ways using various techniques and colors. This one is fairly conventional. I am hoping to deviate from the norm and force myself into a new dimension.
My mother is going to have surgery next week and I will go stay with her for a bit. She suggested I bring my paints to her house - her porch has great light and I think I will take her up on it. I cannot remember the last time she saw me paint - certainly not recently. Maybe a different environment will send my right brain into new directions as well....

Nothing cuter than a foal rolling in the grass - unless the pasture is full of bluebonnets, too. I have used this image before but not with the flowers, which, by the way, are just beginning to show their blossoms today. It should be a spectacular display, too - we have had a well-watered winter.
