Sibling Rivalry - W I P

12 X 12 Oil on Canvas WIP nodp
I am almost done with this one, but I had to take a break to wash the dog and listen to the President's press conference. I don't know which event I enjoyed more: killing fleas while smelling a wet dog or listening to more yadda yadda yadda. Use your imagination.
The background is not working right, so I will add some more color to it tomorrow. And more highlights to the red horse.
These are two yearling colts belonging to a friend of mine. Like most teenagers, they are full of themselves and have boundless energy combined with absolutely no sense at all. They tussle and rear and bite at each other constantly - it's a wonder they aren't all broken and scarred. But like most youth, they survive the slings and arrows with little problem.
Psalm 127:4
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.

I'm really enjoying reading Jane Smiley's work as she is a horse lady and writes so beautifully about them!
